About MeTool

MeTool (metool.online) is a free online tools platform serving users worldwide, operated and maintained by an independent developer. Our mission is straightforward: help you get work done in your browser — compress images, edit videos, convert documents, preview 3D models, and use developer utilities without installing software or creating an account.

MeTool is built on three core principles:

• Local first — your files are processed on your device, not uploaded to our servers
• Ready instantly — open a page and start working, with minimal friction
• Free to use — supported by advertising so quality tools remain accessible to everyone

MeTool currently provides 80+ online tools across:

• Image tools: compression, format conversion, background removal, QR codes, and more
• Video tools: compression, format conversion, subtitle editing, screen recording
• Document tools: Word to PDF, Markdown conversion, WeChat article formatting
• Developer tools: JSON beautifier, regex tester, LAN file transfer
• 3D tools: GLB/STL/OBJ model preview and format conversion
• Online games: Go, Gomoku, 2048, and other casual games

We continuously add and improve tools based on user feedback and real-world needs.

MeTool is built with Nuxt and Vue, deployed as a static site (SSG) for fast loading and global availability. Tool logic runs in the browser via Canvas, WebGL, WebAssembly, and related APIs.
