Reversi

Reversi (also known as Othello) is a classic two-player strategy board game — on an 8×8 board, black and white take turns placing pieces, flipping opponent pieces that are "sandwiched" between the new piece and existing friendly pieces. Rules can be learned in 2 minutes, but mastery requires deep understanding of corner control, stable disc strategy, and mobility advantage.

Three AI levels, precision-matched to your skill: Easy (depth 2) lets beginners learn flipping mechanics at a comfortable pace. Medium (depth 4) actively fights for corners and stable discs. Hard (depth 6) uses a full positional weight table + mobility evaluation + endgame counting, delivering a real challenge for experienced players.

Real-time visual feedback: Valid moves are marked with green dots, the last move is highlighted with a yellow ring, flipped pieces have a 180ms 3D flip animation, and the board pulses during AI thinking — every move has clear visual feedback.

Complete game experience: Supports Pass (skip when no valid moves), new game, and win/lose/draw detection. After the game ends, a share card automatically shows the black/white score and AI difficulty level.

Pure frontend, zero privacy concerns: All AI computation (Minimax search) runs in your browser — no data is ever sent to any server. Open the page, choose a difficulty, and start playing.

Reversi (Othello) has simple rules but strategic depth that effectively trains the following thinking abilities:

① Contrarian thinking: Reversi's core mechanic is "flipping" — your advantage can instantly become a disadvantage. You'll learn a profound lesson: a numerical lead in the current position doesn't mean real advantage. This "look beyond appearances to see the essence" contrarian thinking is extremely important in business and investment decisions.

② Positional value judgment: Corners > edges > center — Reversi teaches that "not all positions are equal." Occupying key positions (corners and stable discs) matters more than simply chasing quantity. This "quality over quantity" judgment transfers to resource allocation and priority management.
